Kabarak University is proud to announce its participation in the Africa Centre for Career Enhancement and Skills Support (ACCESS 2.0) project for the 2025-2029 period. This initiative, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), is aimed at enhancing career readiness, entrepreneurship, and service-learning among students across multiple institutions in Africa. As part of this groundbreaking project, Mount Kenya University (MKU) has been designated as the lead local institution, coordinating efforts among 10 participating universities. Kabarak University, represented by Dr. Faith Yator, is actively involved in implementing various joint activities designed to benefit both students and faculty.

AI Everything Global 2025, a prestigious event held in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, UAE, from February 4th to 6th, brought together leading AI experts, innovators, and organizations from across the globe. The event served as a dynamic platform for exploring the latest advancements and applications of AI in diverse sectors, featuring over 500 exhibitors, 150 investors, 500 Chief AI Officers, and 200 speakers from more than 70 countries. Prominent figures such as H.E. Faisal Al Bannai, Adviser to the President for Strategic Research & Advanced Technology Affairs, and H.E. Omar Sultan Al Olama, UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy & Remote Work Applications, played key roles in shaping the discussions.

The Directorate of Research, Innovation, and Outreach in the Division of Academic Affairs and Research hereby advertises the 2025 call for internal research grant proposals aimed at promoting research activities within the University. The University has established an internal research fund to support faculty members with outstanding ideas to undertake research activities that address issues in education, business, religion, law, information technology, health, environment, energy, arts, and social sciences related to the Kenya Vision 2030, African Union (AU) Agenda 2063, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

During the Kenya Innovation Week 2024, students from Kabarak University’s School of Science, Engineering, and Technology (SSET) showcased their exceptional talent and ingenuity by participating in a prestigious hackathon event. Their innovative creation, the Gas Guard gas leakage detection app, garnered significant recognition from the Kenya Red Cross, ultimately winning them an award for their contribution to public safety.
