Kabarak University School of Law is pleased to announce the rebranding of the East Africa Community Law Journal as Jumuiya. This rebranding marks a commitment to community, reflecting the shared aspirations of East African nations. Jumuiya,  meaning community in Swahili, relates to the essence of harmonious collaboration and scholarly exploration and embodies the Kabarak commitment to developing Afrocentric and contextually relevant scholarship, along with a call for interdisciplinary research.

In a proactive move towards fostering workplace safety, Kabarak University recently joined forces with the St. John's Ambulance team to conduct an intensive Occupational Health and Safety Training session specifically tailored for lab technicians. The comprehensive program delved into a diverse range of critical topics, including Electrical Safety, Machinery Safety, Chemical Safety, and more. The objective was clear: to equip participants with essential skills necessary for maintaining a secure work environment.

In a collaborative effort to tackle the rising concerns of depression and suicide among students in Kenyan institutions of higher learning, counselors from Kabarak University have actively participated in the annual workshop organized by the Kenya Universities Professional Counselors Association (KUPCA). Held at The University of Nairobi's Main Campus, this three-day event brings together counselors from various universities across Kenya to delve into crucial topics under the theme, 'Depression and suicide among students in institutions of higher learning in Kenya: Look around, look within.'

On November 25, 2023, the Kabarak University Student Organisation (KUSO) directors orchestrated a spectacular event that brought the City Campus alive with energy and excitement. The Nakuru City Campus Sports & Fun Day held from 1200hrs to 1700hrs, was a collaborative effort between KUSO leaders and the dedicated staff led by the Senior Assistant Dean of Students City Campus, Dr. Njenga Eunice, and City Campus Counselor, Ms. Kombich Veronicah.

Today marked a special moment at Kabarak University's Wednesday Chapel Service as the air reverberated with the harmonious notes of a Special Christmas Carols Celebration. Both physically present and virtually connected attendees were in for a treat as the University/Church Choir transformed the chapel into a haven of festive melodies. The anticipation was palpable as the crowd eagerly awaited the enchanting performances that promised to make this Christmas celebration truly memorable.

Kabarak University emerges as a hub for budding innovators and visionaries. This year, the campus has played host to the much-anticipated Western Region Product Development Competition (PDC), a stage set for the brightest minds from Egerton, Moi, Kisii University, and Kabarak itself to showcase their innovations and research prowess.
