Kabarak University recently honored its Men's Basketball Team for their outstanding performance and qualification for the highly anticipated KUSA (Kenya University Sports Association) National Championship. The heartfelt accolades and blessings came from none other than the university's esteemed Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry Kiplangat, in recognition of the players' dedication, hard work, and exceptional achievements.

Kabarak University's School of Music and Media had the privilege of hosting an eventful and blessed visit from esteemed guests: the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Prof. Kayode Oyebode Adebowale, and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Innovation & Strategic Partnerships), Prof. Oluyemisi A. Bamgbose. The visit was a memorable occasion, marked by a warm reception by the School of Music and Media's Founding Dean, Prof. Mellitus Wanyama, and highlighted by outstanding performances by our talented music students.

On October 23, 2023, the Department of Spiritual and Student Affairs at Kabarak University undertook an inspiring mentorship program at Kipsogon Secondary School in Mogotio, Kenya. This event, organized by dedicated peer counselors under the guidance of Pr. Esther Kapsir and Ms. Veronica Kombchi, was a testament to the university's commitment to making a positive impact on the local community.

In 2024, Kabarak University Law School is set to proudly host the 22^nd edition of the John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition, Africa Regional Round. Organized by the European Law Students Association (ELSA) in collaboration with the World Trade Organization (WTO), this event features a simulated hearing of the WTO Dispute Settlement System. Teams are tasked with preparing and analyzing a fictitious case, presenting arguments for both the complainant and the respondent before a panel of WTO and trade law experts. It serves as a platform to bolster law students' interest and expertise in international trade law, WTO dispute settlement procedures, and international trade law litigation.

On October 5, 2023, World Teachers' Day marked a momentous occasion as Rosemary Bosibori Onyancha, an alumna of Kabarak University, was declared the winner of the 2023 African Union's Continental Best Teacher Award. She outshone 108 competitors from 54 countries across the continent, making it a truly remarkable achievement.

The Kenya Universities Debate Championship (KUDC) holds a special place in the world of competitive debate, serving as a battleground for intellectual clashes and acting as a nurturing ground for fledgling societies looking to make their mark in the Kenyan debate circuit. Kabarak University, a relatively new entrant to this arena, has proven that it's here to stay.
