On Friday, 16 June 2023, Kabarak University in collaboration with Save the Children International (Kenya and Madagascar) organised a momentous event to commemorate the International Day of the African Child. Themed ‘The Rights of the Child in the Digital Environment,’ the event aimed to raise awareness, promote dialogue, and advocate the promotion and protection of children’s rights in the digital space. The event took place in Nairobi and was livestreamed on Zoom.

In a remarkable display of educational collaboration, Kabarak University opened its doors to a group of exceptional students from Emining Boys High School. The visiting students, who are renowned for their outstanding academic performances across various forms, were accompanied by a dedicated team of teachers. The primary objective of this academic visit was to provide these talented students with an opportunity to learn about the diverse academic programs offered by Kabarak University and to familiarize themselves with the university's different departments.

Kabarak University's School of Science Engineering is set to become a center of excellence in Fintech, thanks to a proposed collaboration with Safaricom Engineering Community - Fintech Chapter. The community, comprised of professional engineers at Safaricom, aims to host a one-month technical immersion program at Kabarak University, focusing on Daraja APIs and Mini-Apps development.

In an effort to foster academic collaboration and enhance knowledge sharing, Kabarak University recently welcomed a group of diploma and degree students from Meru National Polytechnic. The 17 students, who are pursuing their studies in the Computing and Informatics Department, embarked on a visit to Kabarak University's impressive library facility. During their visit, they had the opportunity to explore various aspects of information management and gain insights into cataloging, classification, abstracting, indexing, conservation, and dissemination of information, among other essential skills.

In pursuit of academic excellence and holistic development, educational institutions often embark on benchmarking visits to gain insights and learn from successful establishments. The benchmarking visit conducted by AIC Kerotet Girls' High School to Kabarak University proved to be an enlightening experience for the students. The visit encompassed a session on career guidance followed by an exploration of the university's serene environment.
