Kabarak University has once again proven its excellence—not just in academics but also in sports. Our rugby team emerged victorious at the Kenya University Sports Federation (KUSF) National Championship, held at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology on February 22-23, 2025. With determination and sheer grit, the team outperformed their rivals, securing the prestigious title and etching their name in history as the 2025 national champions.

Kabarak University, in collaboration with the Kenya National Commission for UNESCO, proudly hosted a historic 25th-anniversary conference and celebration of International Mother Language Day at the University's Bethel Auditorium. This milestone reflects the university's commitment to cultural diversity and the preservation of indigenous languages, aligning with its role as the holder of the UNESCO Chair in Culture and Arts in Education. This global initiative promotes the integration of arts and culture into education systems in Kenya and the Eastern Africa region, furthering UNESCO’s mission to advance Sustainable Development Goal 4—ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all.

Kabarak University has achieved another remarkable milestone, solidifying its place among Africa’s leading institutions of higher learning. We are proud to announce our official membership in the (AAU) — a prestigious network that brings together the continent’s most distinguished universities in a shared mission to advance higher education, research, and innovation across Africa.

Kabarak University kicked off its comprehensive orientation program today, warmly welcoming a new cohort of staff members and trainers from both the university and its TVET Institute. Held at the Kabarak University Online (KABUO) facility, the program featured presentations from various departments, schools, directors, and senior management. Professor Henry Kiplagat, the Vice-Chancellor, led the day’s proceedings.

Kabarak University marked a significant leadership transition today with the Swearing-in and Dedication Ceremony for the newly elected Kabarak University Students Organization (KUSO) leaders. The solemn event, held at the Convocation Hall Chapel, emphasized the essence of servant leadership, integrity, and commitment to service.

Kabarak University's commitment to holistic student development was further exemplified yesterday with the commissioning of its newly elected Christian Union (KUCU) leadership. The ceremony, held at the Convocation Hall, recognized the vital role the CU plays in the spiritual life of the campus. The service emphasized the importance of servant leadership and the dedication required to nurture the faith community within the university.
